An exclusive and intimate look into the mind of the creator and designer behind the furniture brand woud. In this short film and interview, she shares her thoughts and insights on being a female creator in the design context of Malmö, and what the city means to her. She also shares her inspiration and creative process, giving us a glimpse into the passion and dedication that goes into each of her designs.
Can you tell us a bit about woud and the work you do here in Malmö?
KH: Sure, at woud, we design and build furniture and handcrafted on-site pieces. We believe that furniture is more than just a functional piece, it can also be a space where memories are created and shared.
Interviewer: Can you elaborate on that?
KH: Absolutely, for me, a table is not just a piece of wood, it’s a space where families gather for breakfast and loved ones come together for dinner. It’s a place where important conversations are had and where friends and family can have fun and make memories. Each person has their own space at the table and their own voice, and that collective energy is powerful. So, at the end of the day, it’s not just a table, it’s a space where life happens.
